Release of the new STINGA SIP SimulatorGrimstad (Norway), December 1st, 2004: Utel Systems has released their new SIP Protocol Simulator in the STINGA test instrument series. The main features of this instruments are:
- Simulating a SIP terminal or a SIP proxy.
- SIP message simulation over
TCP and UDP. - Supporting standard Ethernet adapters (no special hardware required). - Powerful scripting language (Visual Basic like). - RTP sending and termination (using G.711 codec). - Script Editor, and SIP and SDP Message Builder. - Supporting the following specifications: - RFC2327 - SDP: Session Description Protocol - RFC2617 - HTTP Authentication: Basic and Digest Access Authentication, applied to SIP. - RFC2778 - A Model for Presence and Instant Messaging. - RFC2779 - Instant Messaging/Presence Protocol Requirements (IMPP). - RFC2833 - RTP Payload for DTMF Digits, Telephony Tones and Telephony Signals. - RFC2976 - The SIP INFO Method. - RFC3261 - Session Initiation Protocol (SIP). - RFC3262 - Reliability of Provisional Responses in SIP. - RFC3264 - An Offer/Answer Model with the Session Description Protocol (SDP). - RFC3265 - SIP-Specific Event Notification. - RFC3311 - The SIP UPDATE Method. - RFC3515 - The SIP REFER Method. - RFC3550 - RTP: A Transport Protocol for Real-Time Applications.
