Aug 05, 2005: Utel Systems has released their new STINGA DPNSS/DASS2 protocol analyser in the STINGA test instrument series.

Dec 01, 2004: Utel Systems has released their new STINGA SIP Protocol Simulator in the STINGA test instrument series.

Nov 30, 2004: Utel Systems is expanding its business in the Asian region. Recently several new distributors has been signed up to promote the protocol test instruments in the new STINGA series: UniWorks, Wisdomcom and I-Wave.

Oct 01, 2004: Utel Systems is releasing a new protocol analyser for Next Generation Networks: STINGA NGN Monitor. This protocol analyser is focusing on SIGTAN, SS7oIP, Megaco/H.248, SIP and more.

May 26, 2004: Utel Systems will in May and June launch new versions of their test instrument software. This includes solutions for both SS7 (C7) and ISDN PRA.

April 19, 2004: Utel Systems will attend the most important seminar in the Norwegian telecom market this year. This takes place at the Storefjell Hotell in the Norwegian mountains.

March 29, 2004: Utel Systems introduce a new V5 test instrument for protocol testing and simulation in a V5 environment.

March 26, 2004: The Link Monitoring System (LMS) UQoS INSIGHT has been chosen by Telenor Business Solution as a surveillance tool for their ISDN PRA links.

October 17, 2003: The new EU directive derived from ETSI EG 201 769 will instruct network operators and carriers to test and document their quality of service on a number of services offered.

August 25, 2003: The Swedish test centre Validation AB has chosen Utel Systems' new test instrument STINGA as their solution for testing next generation Telecom Networks. Validation is testing new solutions like the ENGINE platform from Ericsson for several Scandinavian carriers.

May 13, 2003: Utel Systems has delivered their system "UQoS INSIGHT" to the Norwegian incumbent Telenor and have now developed new, extended functionality for real-time alarms and reports.

April 30, 2003: The Norwegian operator Telenor Networks has recently ordered the new NGN test instruments from Utel Systems called "STINGA". The instruments will support Telenor in their efforts to maintain the network and service quality when moving from conventional to the NGN technologies. Initially the instruments will be used to test different ATM-based signalling protocols (like BICC and PNNI) on the Ericsson ENGINE platform.

March 6, 2003: Telenor Business Solutions engage in a contract with Utel Systems for deploying the LMS reporting system UQoS INSIGHT. Telenor have developed and deployed several advanced IN services which require an advanced and flexible monitoring system and reporting tool.

August 21, 2002: Utel Systems has started a project focusing on billing verification together with one of the major network operators in Scandinavia. The project will be looking at the technical sides of the operator's billing system. The purpose is to identify leakage and errors that leads to incorrect and lost billing for the operator.

July 30, 2002: Investments of test equipment and support systems has been slow in the telecommunication market since the summer of 2001. Players in this arena has focused on cost savings and freezing of investment budgets. Utel Systems has in this period worked very active with establishing and training new distributors throughout the world in order to be prepared and better represented as the market stabilizes.

December 7, 2001: Two new centralized systems for carriers or network operators are introduced. The first system, UQoS PHI, is a system for operators of ISDN X.25 networks for monitoring of Packed Handler Interfaces (PHI). The second system, called UQoS ProMon, is a solution for centralized protocol analysis from logfiles from network elements (switches).

November 6, 2001: White paper on user perceived end-to-end quality in telecom and data networks. The white paper focuses on the challenges players in the telecom market are facing as telecom networks and services are growing more and more complex. The whitepaper is in Norwegian.

September 10, 2001: Telenor Global Services - the business unit within Telenor responsible for international traffic, implements the QoS reporting system "UQoS INSIGHT". This is a web reporting system that extracts data from their existing LMS and providing a set of powerful easy-to-use reports for different departments within their organisation.

August 13, 2001: One of the leading carriers in UK orders their first SS7 (C7) Test Instruments. The highly portable instruments have features that are viewed as very interesting in the market. This is Utel Systems breakthrough in the UK market, and all sales are canalised through the local distributor Frame Communications Ltd.

June 20, 2001: Tele2 Norge, the operator with the largest private subscriber base next to Telenor, signs a contract on Utel System's product NQR. Tele2 has chosen the NQR subscription package called Silver, providing them with weekly quality reports at a fixed monthly fee.

June 19, 2001: Telenor has together with Cisco Systems initiated a project for Next Generation Network called FSN; Full Service Network. Carefully selected partners are invited into the project with solutions for Next Generation Networks. Now Utel Systems enters the project with QoS measurement techniques in all IP-networks.

April 2, 2001: Enitel, one of the largest operators in the Norwegian telecom market, signs a contract on Utel System's product NQR. Enitel has chosen the NQR subscription package called "Gold", providing them with daily quality reports at a fixed monthly fee. Further Enitel has chosen to implement a number of remote test units exclusively in their own network to obtain maximum utilisation of the system.

March 28, 2001: The Norwegian operator of the ISDN X.25 network, Telenor Business Solutions, implements a system for real-time surveillance of the X.25 network. The solution is continuously monitoring Packet Handlers (PH) and generates alarms if defined thresholds are exceeded.

October 1, 2000: Utel Systems introduced the new PCMCIA based test instrument for protocol simulation and monitoring on SS7 and ISDN PRA. The test instruments are useful for test and switching engineers with the need of a portable solution.

March 1, 2000: Telenor, the incumbent on the Norwegian Telecom market, implements "UQoS EDGE", an active system for testing and improving the public telecom network.
