When a telecom market is de-regulated, new network operators or service providers will enter the market. These new companies need to connect their network - or switches - to one or more of the existing operators. For both parties - both the existing operator and the new operator - it is crucial that the networks are 100% "compatible" and the signalling is working properly. Otherwise specific services including billing may not work correct.This has made it necessary to perform "Interconnect test" to verify that the switches are configured correctly and that all services are working 100%. These interconnect tests have been specified by international organisations such as ITU-T and Eurescom. Utel Systems has after doing several interconnect tests for many different operators made extensive script suites of the scripts used in Interconnect Testing.

Script packages for different interconnect tests are available:

• SS7 (ISUP) testing according to ITU-T Q.782, Q.784, Q.785 and Q.788
• ISDN End-to-end testing for ISDN PRA according to Eurescom P.104/P.412
• ISDN End-to-end testing for ISDN BA according to Eurescom P.104/P.412

The script packages must be used with an instrument from Utel Systems having a simulator module installed.
